You a riding the horse of this song
Hours passing by, are you nursing your long
All seems so small, seen here from the pick-up
The long grows tall, did you ever smash a cup?
    And you greet the broken light,
    got on up, greet the hole and the plight.

We were singing the hymns of destruction,
Now were you wondering on the wheel of obstruction?
Now we do see some windows cracked and cold,
Now are you bold, you hand who hold the stone?
And I wonder is a hole the cry before?
Did you walk on stones `fore time turned shore of sand?
    Still you know what time you got up to this day.

Some people seems to get the kick of woe
While others lick their wounds to the hick-up;
How many corpses can you be at just one time?
It's not a show, `though the tick can love your snow.
    How many snow-flakes did fall in the span
    Of years behind the actual picture of your land?

Some people seems to be very sure
They see the same as others, now, if you were purer,
Then what is greener? Are you sure the sky is blue?
The what is blue? Have you seen how close you knew?
And out of your twilight fume
Are you sure you are seeing en coutume?
    Still you know what time you got up to this day.

Some people taste the essence of their meal.
To peel an orange, well some cold it might heal.
But what is taste? yes, it's sour or it's sweet,
Differs' descriptions, yes but they're all grown up in heat,
    And now you might know what I mean,
    The barrow wouldn't fail, still it's the words that were seen.

I've been on this train too long,
It's no lie, it's the words of this song.
But now I feel, you are sure of what I said
You get your deal, `though the same is never met.
And in your head all the oranges fed;
And in your head is a picture of your bed
    Still you know what time you got up to this day.
